Goa Tourism Development Corporation celebrates 35 years

Panjim, March 30: Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) today celebrated 35 years of its inception. The glittering function was attended by Chief  Secretary of Goa Mr. Dharmendra Sharma IAS,  former GTDC  Chairman and present Curchorem MLA Mr. Nilesh Cabral, Director of  Tourism, Govt. of Goa, Mr. Sanjeev C Gauns
Dessai,   MD, GTDC,  Mr. Nikhil Desai, General Manager, Finance, GTDC, Mr. Dattaram Sawant, General  Manager, Administration , GTDC, Mr. Laxmikant Vaigankar, General Manager, Hotels & Marketing, GTDC, Mr. Gavin Dias, General Manager, Engineering, GTDC, Mr. Sachin Gore and other officials from the Dept of Tourism and GTDC
The Chief Secretary of Goa, Mr. Sharma said," I  am extremely happy that the GTDC  has completed 35 years. From a humble beginning, the GTDC has grown and is now working tirelessly to promote Goa tourism  far and wide  with a large number of activities and initiatives."

Mr. Nilesh Cabral, Curchorem  MLA  and former Chairman of GTDC  said, "During my tenure as Chairman, the GTDC introduced several tourism services which attracted tourists to the State in a big way. I pat the officers and staff of GTDC for working hard
and  scaling GTDC to great heights.   Continue the good work in the years to come".
During the function, the achievements of GTDC were highlighted.
Today's function was organized by the GTDC Staff Welfare Association. A
colourful cultural programme was presented by the staff of GTDC and Dept of Tourism who displayed their talent.
The main highlight of this event was the fashion show which was based on women empowerment and was conceptualized by Mr. Armando Duarte, Deputy General Manager, GTDC.
The function was compered by Mr. Deepak Narvekar, PRO, GTDC  and Ms. Svedalanska Pires.
