GTDC’s trekking expedition at Collem on June 25
Panjim, 19 June: GTDC’s eco-trekking expedition will be conducted on Sunday on June 25 at Collem this Sunday.  This trek will cover a total travel distance of 120 kms from Panjim and back and with a total trekking distance of 4 kms.
During the trek, one can get a glimpse of tame elephants, semi- forested areas, and canals. This trek will also give an experience of Goa’s hinterlands through the  Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary.One can also visit a temple located right in the village
Trekkers are requested to wear suitable footwear as they will have to walk through a lot of 
slippery terrain.
All the participants are requested to carry an extra pair of clothes 
and rainwear. Changing room facility will also be available.
First 50 bookings will get a 
complimentary copel, a crown made of flowers and leaves.
Transport arrangements have been made
from Margao , Ponda, Mapusa and Panjim Residency. The bus will leave from Mapusa Residency at 7:30 am,  Paryatan Bhavan, Patto at 8:00 am, Margao Residency at 8:15 am,  Old Goa at 8:15 am and Ponda at 8:45 am.
The charges for the trek include Rs. 750/- per person only. (Inclusive of veg and non-veg lunch and insurance).
Please note: The expedition is not recommended for those who are physically unfit.
