Panjim, July 30, 2014: Post the success of #GoaInstawalk that was held at the Goa Forest Department, Panjim on Nature Photography Day, Goa Tourism is all set to conduct the second version of Goa Instawalk in association with the WelcomHeritage Hotels on 9th & 10th August, 2014.

Tourism Minister, Shri. Dilip Parulekar, said, “In today’s technological world, we seek to leverage the benefits of digital technology by showcasing Goa to the world. We invite all photography enthusiasts to discover a new side of Goa and enjoy all that the state has to offer.”

Goa Instawalk 2.0 aims at showcasing Goa’s architectural heritage, its natural and cultural attractions as well as the greener side of Goa during monsoons. This integrated social media on ground activation will be a 2 days activity wherein places like Tambdi Surla, Kesarval Spring and Fountainhas in Goa will be covered.

An Instawalk is a real-time casual walking tour through a selected area hosted by an instagrammer or an influencer. The process follows a director that exhibits known and unknown aspects in a specific area. Instawalks are a fun way to stay connected to the world for those who like to explore, capture and use social media as a way to showcase their experiences and passion.

This initiative is an influencer engagement program which photo bloggers and influencers from across the country, local photography & Instagram enthusiasts will be a part of wherein they will be taken around the mentioned places and will be given an opportunity to showcase their passion for photography along with experiencing the cultural and natural aspect of Goa during the much awaited monsoons.

This activity is Goa Tourism’s initiative to showcase green Goa while engaging with influencers from across the country in order to give them a firsthand experience of the various aspects that Goa is made of.
