Goa Tourism bags Best Wedding Destination and Best Nightlife Destination awards at IITM 2017 Bangalore
 

 

Panjim,  July  24:  Goa’s natural beauty, bountiful facets, excellent transport connectivity, safety and security measures for tourists, continues to make it the most popular haunt for young couples looking for an ideal wedding locale or for some adventure and night life.
And this is perhaps why Goa was selected for two prestigious awards at the IITM  2017, Bangalore as the Best Wedding Destination and  Best Nightlife Destination.
 
Mr. Menino D’Souza, Director, Dept.  of Tourism, Govt. of Goa said,That
Goa is preferred by young couples for their wedding celebrations and by tourists for the nightlife  34is a huge achievement. It comes as no surprise that this beautiful State offers young couples from  India and abroad that perfect platform for their wedding celebrations. Records show that Goa is the first choice as a wedding destination for young couples and high end weddings of foreign nationals and  Indians has made the tourism industry in Goa a very vibrant and prosperous one. With new infrastructure plans being put in place by Goa Tourism and new activities being added on,  we are confident of seeing an increase in footfalls for both wedding tourism and  Goa’s nightlife. The government  is committed on ensuring  that the State  is safe and secure for its tourists who visit it for  all its attraction  including its nightlife.”
 
In  2015, Goa was ranked the sixth Best Cities in the World for its Night life 
by none other than  National Geographic.  Goa has also received several awards and recognitions in the past as the Best Wedding Destination.
 
The 
two latest awards were bagged by Goa Tourism at the India International  Travel Mart (IITM)  2017, Bangalore during the three day event held between July  21 – 23, 2017.
During the 
three day IITM  2017, Bangalore, Goa Tourism showcased its facets and promoted Goa as a 365 day holiday destination.  Several B2B sessions were organized between travel and tourism operators and  officials from Goa Tourism. A Goa evening was also organized and attracted a huge audience.
 
Goa Tourism received an overwhelming response from travel and tour operators and a large number of bookings for 
the on-going monsoon tourism and up-coming tourism season were finalized.  Goa attracts a large number of tourists from neighbouring Karnataka all through the year and great interest was generated for Goa Tourism’s  new products and services.
