GTDC’s Monsoon Trekking Expedition to Budruk Shelop this Sunday, 14th July 2019

 

GTDC’s  4th  Sunday Monsoon Trek for the season is all set  to take off to Budruk Shelop on 8th July 2019.

This Sunday’s  trek  has an interesting itinerary which is a lovely  mix of history and adventure. One  travels first  to  Sattari  and later to  Nagargaon and arrives at  Budruk Shelop,  where there is a temple of lord Bramha. In the 16th century,  the local deity of Karmali  was shifted here into the interiors of  Sattari.  We then go on a 4kms trek covering  3 cascades and a big waterfall. Delicious lunch would be prepared  by the villagers of Shelpya. While returning back all trekkers will be given a free plant sapling.

Budruk Shelop are small seasonal cascades near Valpoi in Satari taluka, Goa which is bursting rich with Goa’s bio-diversity. Pack your trekking bags and head towards an easy and adventurous trek  amidst nature and picturesque landscapes.

Transport arrangements have been made from Mapusa at  7.30 a.m. &  from Margao  at 7.15  a.m.  and  from Panjim  at  8.30 a.m. Pick up arrangements   from Old Goa, Banastari  and  Sakhali  will also be available. 

Interested trekkers are requested to carry along  an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, drinking  water, snacks and binoculars.  Smoking and   consumption of alcohol  is prohibited.

The charge per head is Rs. 800 which is inclusive of lunch, transport and guiding.

Please note: The expedition is not recommended for those who are physically unfit.
