At Department of Tourism, Govt of Goa we respect your data privacy and take utmost care to protect information obtained from individuals when they use any of our Apps or websites.

This document explains how Department of Tourism, Govt of Goa collect, use, and processes information when anyone use Beach Vigil app

Information Collection:

When you use our Beach Vigil app

  1. We collect your device type, operating system, and app version.

  2. We also collect images, files, photos and videos that you upload to our app.

  3. Our app may access your device's camera to take photos and videos which will be stored on the server and will be used for various purposes such as image recognition, location detection etc.

  4. We also access your devices live Location for capturing the location of violation and provide information to the Department of Tourism, Govt of Goa.

  5. We may access your devices gallery to Upload Image for sending violation photo and videos. We do not take any other Image or document or videos from gallery. Image/video taken from gallery is used only for resolving the violation.

  6. We do not share your profile information with third party.

  7. We access your devices live Location

  8. You can delete your account any time with the following link Delete My Account.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

    This information includes items specific to each User and can be used to identify each user uniquely. For Example
  1. Users Name (Any Name) (optional) for App functionality, Fraud prevention, security and compliances, account management.
  2. Email address (optional) for Account Management.
  3. Mobile Number, for App Functionality and Account Management.

    4. The user may be asked to enter some information when using the App (Beach Vigil). The requested informatoin will be used only when requested to enter that information or following this Privacy Policy.


IMAGE INFORMTAION (PHOTOS AND VIDEOS)

    Data Collected, and for what purpose:
  1. Photos and Videos for App Functionality..

  2. Our App collect images/videos for reporting violations (through camera). Please be aware that any images submitted to our platform may be stored on our servers for future user. However, we do not share these images with third parties; they are only used for internal purposes, such as reporting to competent authority for resolving the violation reported. By submitting an image/video to our platform, you acknowledge and consent to our collection and storage of your image/video.

  1. We may keep record of all communications through Telephonic Calls, Emails or Internet Messaging

  2. Any other information shared by you pursuant to your use of Beach Vigil app.

(A) Use of Collected Information:

  1. All information shared on Beach Vigil App is used to submit your violations that are taking place on the beaches of Goa.

  2. We use the information we collect to provide and improve our app, to personalize your experience, and to communicate with you.

  3. We also use the images, files, photos and videos you upload to our app for various purposes, such as for reporting a violation and location detection of the violation.

  4. We use location information to track the exact location of the violation that has been reported on the beaches of Goa.

(B) Sharing of Information:

  1. We do not share your personal information / photos / videos with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy or with your consent.

  2. We also use data collected for various reports and generate statictics which is shared with Govt of Goa officials.

  3. We may disclose the personal data or any other information collected form you to any statutory, lawful enforcement body, regulatory body or court if we are under a duty to do so or required by law to disclose or share your personal data or any other information collected from you.

We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior. You can control the use of cookies through your device's settings or by using third-party tools.
