Goa Tourism recently hosted a distinguished delegation of influencers, travel agents, and partners from Oman on an exclusive three-day journey that showcased the state’s multifaceted identity. Designed to deepen cultural exchange and strengthen future collaborations, the visit highlighted Goa’s position as a destination that extends far beyond its coastline embracing heritage, gastronomy, and immersive local experiences.
The journey began with a warm reception at The Yellow House, where the delegation was introduced to Goan warmth over a traditional high tea. The experience set the tone for the days ahead, blending history and hospitality. This was followed by a guided heritage walk at the iconic Aguad Port and Jail Complex, both of which offered insights into Goa’s layered history. The evening concluded with a beachside dinner at Britto’s, one of Goa’s most celebrated culinary landmarks, leaving the visitors with a first taste of Goa’s legendary hospitality.
Day two unfolded with a serene boat ride through the backwaters of Chorao, curated by the Department of Tourism through Soul Travelling. The delegation immersed themselves in the charm of Goan village life before heading to Old Goa to explore its majestic churches and UNESCO sites, which continue to reflect the state’s rich global cultural connections. A wholesome brunch at Devaaya in Malar, Divar offered an introduction to Goa’s holistic living traditions, while a stroll through the bustling local market provided an authentic glimpse into daily life, vibrant with colour, flavours, and energy. The day concluded with a visit to the historic Taj Heritage Village.
On the final day, the group explored the historic Figueiredo House, a heritage mansion that echoes Goa’s artistic legacy and cultural continuity. The visit served as a reminder of the state’s timeless traditions and creative spirit. The program culminated with a special dinner hosted by the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte. The dinner was also attended by Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik. Conversations at the gathering emphasized the role of tourism in building cultural bridges and explored avenues for future collaborations between Goa and Oman, strengthening ties that extend beyond travel into long-term partnerships.
This visit offered the delegation an enriching glimpse of Goa’s diverse offerings. It also opened avenues for strengthening cultural and tourism ties in the years to come.
