Yuva Tourism Clubs Paving The Way To Empower Young Ambassadors In Goa

 

 

The Yuva Tourism Club initiative, launched by the Ministry of Tourism as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, is designed to engage young minds in the tourism sector and cultivate tourism ambassadors for India. These clubs provide a platform for young students to participate in excursions, adventure tourism, and cultural exchanges, fostering teamwork, leadership, and responsible tourism habits.

Goa Tourism Department has embraced the Yuva Tourism Clubs initiative with a focus on regenerative tourism, which aims to restore and sustain natural ecosystems while fostering mindful tourism practices. The government sees these young ambassadors as key drivers of change, encouraging responsible tourism that benefits both local communities and the environment. Through workshops and immersive activities, the clubs help students appreciate Goa's diverse heritage and unique landscapes, promoting domestic tourism aligned with the Dekho Apna Desh campaign.

By involving students in the tourism ecosystem, the clubs aim to cultivate a sense of stewardship over Goa’s cultural and natural assets. These young ambassadors are trained to advocate for sustainable tourism practices, such as low-impact travel, eco-friendly initiatives, and community-led tourism ventures, thereby ensuring long-term sustainability for the state’s tourism industry. Their involvement also paves the way for them to become future leaders and entrepreneurs in the tourism and hospitality sectors, further strengthening Goa's position as a responsible and regenerative tourism destination.
